LOTF Character - Who Are You?

        If one were to ask me which character I most likely resemble, the answer would simply be Ralph. I chose Ralph out of all the other characters in the book because if I were to be in his situation I would also try to survive using civilized ways. I don't know if its because I'm a total valley girl who's idea of being one with mother nature is walking to Starbucks, but I feel that living in a civilized manner will allow a larger amount of people to survive together. Ralph for instance wanted to build a signal fire and shelter first, by insisting these things the reader can clearly see that he bases his comforts on the taboos of civilization. Trapped on an island I would also first think of these things because the signal fire can help me get off the island as soon as possible and the shelter can help provide a temporary place to sleep so I could wake up the next to handle other things like collecting food and water.
          Knowing me I'll most likely lead others in some way, its just bound to happen. I'm just a generally bossy person, and as Darwin's theory of natural selection states, those who are the superiors will control what will happen to the weak inferiors. Another reason why Ralph, out of all the characters, resemble me is he is more on the gentle side, instead of being mean and savage-like like Jack, he is more calm and treats others with more respect. He doesn't put anyone under him on purpose. Even when it seems like he doesn't care much for Piggy's input, he didn't do it on purpose.

         Today was a pretty average day. I woke up feeling really disappointed that today was basically the last day of break. I'm just happy that i don't have to do these daily journals anymore. I'm not a hater I swear, but writing these journals just reminds me of how uninteresting my life is. All I really do all day is either rot in my room, watch T.V., cry over Asian dramas, and eat oily junk foods. GO OUTSIDE one might say, *sigh* the weather has been so wet and cold, I don't want to risk the chance of getting sick.
         After pulling myself out of bed my mom called me and told me my dentist appointment was cancelled to next Friday. I was kinda happy about it, usually i don't really care if i went to the dentist or not, but today i had so much to finish work wise i really didn't want to sit in a chair with people sticking sharp sticks in my mouth for an hour. I finally got to start on my WHAP extra credit assignment today, but  fell alseep while writing the first essay.  I have a really long night a head of me.

      I hate life at this moment. Why does break have to end so soon?! I'm not ready to face the world just yet. Today was a little more exciting than my other days where i just stayed home and studied. My mom took me to Barnes and Nobles to get some books for my AP class. Of course I had to stop by a couple of stores in the mall. Lucky me scored a pair of Grecian sandals at NY & co.
       When I got home I took a short nap. When I woke up I did some homework. Usually my parents would come home on weekdays to eat dinner with me, so I just waited for them to eat dinner. Sadly they could care less about telling me whether or not they were coming home for dinner. They ate thai food without me. My Dad felt sorry so he took me to get McDonalds.

         Today I woke up to the reality that I'm already half way through my one week break. Life is so cruel. After waking up, I went down stairs to grab breakfast and catch up on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and MTV'S Awkward. I didn't really expect much from the new episode because it was only the second episode of the new season, but the plot twist really got me. After finishing breakfast I went back up stairs and took a nice hot shower. For some strange reason my shoulders have been really stiff and sore lately. Soaking in hot water twice a day really helped loosen up my knots. I honestly feel like an old lady with my constant back pain and premature white hairs.

         After I finished some homework I took a nap till 6 p.m. and woke up to go to Target to get a AP practice test. I've been to busy to get one sooner but today was the only day my parents weren't too tired or too busy. Sadly when we went to Target they told me that they didn't carry any AP prep books. We also tried Walmart but the guy working there didn't even know what I was asking for. Tomorrow I'll have to stop by Barnes and Nobles to get my book. I should have just went there first but for some reason I forgot that there one near my house.

       Waking up at noon today made me feel sluggish all day. I didn't want to do anything but lay in bed and rot in my room. Every time I tried to get up my soft white fluffy blanket pulled me back. After laying in bed for till 2, I went down stairs to make breakfast. Since I haven't been able to cook a nice breakfast for myself in a while, I finally had enough time today to make my sugar cakes and berry smoothie. Usually on weekends or breaks i would walk down to Jamba Juice to get breakfast, but since our family recently bought a Ninja blender I just decided to make one at home.
       After breakfast I did some homework and watched some T.V. I feel asleep while watching Criminal Minds. To be honest, I don't think it really was a good idea to watch Criminal Minds and fall into a deep sleep. I had a really bad nightmare, I dreamed of a clown chasing me with a knife. I hate clowns, why do they even exist in the world. They scare children and annoy adults... I swear who ever made up the idea of a "clown" was on drugs or something. Which brings me to another topic, my childhood is being ruined every time I turn on the T.V. My Little Pony now walks in two legs and wear mini skirts and stilettos. The new t.v. shows are super annoying and weird, I honestly think that the writers of the new cartoon shows are heavy stoners.

       Today was the first day of my spring break. I got to catch up on sleep, which I haven't gotten much of for the last few weeks due to the AP mock exam for WHAP. It was a really relaxing and chill day for me because not only did I sleep in till noon, I got to catch up on my Korean and American dramas. Since my family and I went on a weekend trip to Reno, Nevada to see a Vietnamese music concert I didn't have a chance to do any homework so i caught up on some today as well.
       To be honest I didn't really do anything productive today because I only finished my math and 1/5 of my English homework. Because it is spring break there's just so much time for me to do my chores. I'll probably steam and vacuum the house tomorrow, or maybe push it back till Friday.

Dramatic Terms: Gestures

            The use of body gestures in a play is very important. Why? Well without the use of gestures to express emotions and situations, the play would be lifeless. By having the actors use hand gestures and big body movements, the audience will be able to understand and pay attention to the play easier.
