Hey Guys!
In chapter 5 of Animal Farm by George Orwell, Squealer, one of the leading pigs, made a speech saying, "No one believes more firmly than Comrade Napoleon that all animals are
equal. He would only be too happy to let you make your decision for
yourselves. But sometimes you might make the wrong decisions, comrades,
and then where will you be?". Of coarse being the smooth talker he is he managed to make the animals on the farm trust him and continue to be loyal to Napoleon. I would think that Squealers speech was quite convincing if I were to be an animal on the farm with their level of intellects; however, if I were to think normally in the real world I would find that Squealer is helping Napoleon gain more support towards his dictatorship. Napoleon doesn't at all care for the animals rights, he only really cares for his own benefits. I also find that squealer looks down on the other animals because he mentioned in his speech that Napoleon will crease their chances of making the wrong decision. All in all i think that Squealer us just helping Napoleon for their own sakes and gain more power over the animals.
